Abizer Diwanji is the National Leader of EY’s Financial Services practice in India. He has extensive experience of over 15 years and his focus industries include banking and the financial services.
Abizer is a part of the Transaction Advisory Services at EY in India, specializing in Financial Services. He has managed and led a number of high profile and complex transactions during the course of his professional career. Abizer has a deep understanding and practical experience of dealing with issues that arise in Indian transactions.
During his career, Abizer has been involved in approximately 100 private equity transactions on the transactions support side in Financial Services, IT, BPO, Pharma and Oil and Gas. He has extensive experience in assisting buyers and sellers of businesses in evaluating the risks and opportunities of their intended transactions.
Prior to EY, Abizer was heading a real estate redevelopment project. He has been with KPMG India for 15 years and ended his journey with the firm as Head of Financial Services.
Abizer is a Chartered Accountant, and a Commerce Graduate from the University of Mumbai.

He is a Fellow in Engineering and Chartered Engineer from Institution of Engineers (India) apart from securing distinction in Certified Associate in Banking (CAIIB).Trained in Treasury and Fund Management, Risk Management and Asset Liability Management.
Mr. Amal has been with NABARD for more than 31 years. He has worked in major States of the country like Karnataka, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala. He has had varied experience in the areas of Project Finance, Banking, Institutional Development, Training and Financial Management. He was a Member of Asia-Pacific Policy forum. He was a Professional Consulting in Treasury and Fund Management. He developed the methodology for measuring operative efficiency of banks, product efficiency measurements and developed outreach models.
Under his guidance, NABARD could obtain approval for six climate change adaptation projects from Adaptation Fund Board (AFB), secured as National Implementing Entity (NIE) of Green Climate Fund (GCF). He is instrumental in designing the Implementation guideline under the recently established domestic funding mechanism viz. National Adaptation Fund for Climate Change (NAFCC).

S. S. Mundra
Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI)
Shri S. S. Mundra took over as the Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) today. The Government of India vide its notification dated July 30, 2014 has appointed him as the Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of India, for a period of three years from the date of his taking over, i.e., July 31, 2014 or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Prior to joining the Reserve Bank, Shri Mundra was Chairman and Managing Director, Bank of Baroda, the second largest bank in the country.
As Deputy Governor, Shri Mundra will look after banking supervision, currency management, financial stability, rural credit, customer service, as also, the Reserve Bank’s human resources and security.
Born on July 18, 1954, Shri Mundra began his career as a Probationary Officer in Bank of Baroda in March 1977. During a banking career spanning 37 years, he has held several challenging positions including heading Bank of Baroda’s European operations (UK) before being elevated as Executive Director of Union Bank of India in September 2010 and further as Chairman of Bank of Baroda in January 2013.
Shri Mundra has served on Boards of several multi-dimensional companies, such as, the Clearing Corporation of India Ltd (CCIL), Central Depository Services (India) Ltd. (CDSL), BOB Asset Management Company, India Infrastructure Finance Corporation (UK) Ltd. (IIFCL), Star Union Dai-Ichi Life Insurance Company Ltd., National Payments Corporation of India Ltd. The experience gained in guiding these entities has bestowed him with wide leadership skills and keen insights in best practices in Corporate Governance.
He has served as the Chairman of Committee on Financial Inclusion set up by the Indian Banks’ Association (IBA) and also served as a member of several other important committees relating to the banking and financial sector constituted by the IBA and RBI, including the NachiketMor Committee on Comprehensive Financial Services (CCFS) for Small Businesses and Low-Income Households.
He holds a Masters Degree in Commerce and CAIIB.

Dr. Kshatrapati Shivaji assumed charge as Chairman & Managing Director of Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) with effect from March 02, 2015. Prior to his joining SIDBI, he served as Principal Secretary, (Expenditure), Finance Department, Govt. of Maharashtra.
Upon assuming charge as CMD, his first and foremost initiative was the launch of Micro Units Development and Refinance Agency (MUDRA), as a subsidiary of SIDBI, for funding the unfunded micro enterprises in April 2015.
During his tenure of over one year in the Bank, Dr. Shivaji has initiated several programmes for promotion of inclusive and holistic development of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) in India. He has been instrumental in setting up India Aspiration Fund for funding innovative ventures/start-ups of MSMEs, interlinking players in the startup ecosystem with MSMEs for guidance, mentoring, funding, through launch of SIDBI Startup Mitra portal. The portal was launched by the Hon’ble President of India. Under his guidance, SIDBI is in the process of setting up an electronic Trade Receivables Discounting System to improve liquidity and address problems of delayed payments to MSMEs in the country. The most recent initiative of Dr. Shivaji has been the launch of Standup Mitra portal, by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, connecting banks, help-centres to assist the marginalized sections of society as well as women entrepreneurs for setting up greenfield ventures.
Dr. Shivaji belongs to the prestigious Indian Administrative Service and during his career spanning 27 years, has handled various assignments relating to finance and industry. He held the post of Managing Director in Kerala Financial Corporation and Maharashtra State Financial Corporation also as Director, Marine Export Development Authority, New York, USA. He also held the post of Director, Dept. of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Govt. of India. In addition to being the Chairman & Managing Director of SIDBI, he holds the ex-officio position of Chairman of seven associates /subsidiaries of SIDBI and represents the Bank on various Committees of Govt. of India, Reserve Bank of India, etc.

Mrs. Nirmala Buch a retired IAS of MP Cadre has held several important posts in Govt.of MP and India. As first woman Chief Secretary of Madhya Pradesh she displayed excellent administrative leadership. Nirmala Buch pioneered Micro Finance movement in Madhya Pradesh. She advocated women’s financial inclusion and supported MFIs for much wider impact in MP since 1995. Combining her vast experience of governance and govt. in the field of policy making and the civil society at the grass roots she has successfully advocated for women’s rights, child rights, citizen’s rights and protection of environment.

Shri Anthony J.C. de Sa assumed office of Madhya Pradesh's Chief Secretary on October 1, 2013. Shri de Sa was born on October 9, 1956 at Bhusawal in Maharashtra. Shri de Sa was educated in Mumbai University and obtained master's degree from Harvard University, USA.
Before becoming the Chief Secretary, 1980 batch IAS officer Shri Anthony J.C. de Sa was Additional Chief Secretary of important departments like Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Protection and Transport.
Apart from being posted at Bilaspur and Jabalpur, he had also been Collector of Chhindwara. Shri de Sa also gave his services as Director in Union Ministry of Environment and Forests and Controller of Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Mumbai. Shri de Sa also discharged responsibility as Joint Secretary in Union Commerce & Industries Ministry. Shri de Sa was posted at the United Nations Organisation for 5 years.
Shri. Hemant G. Contractor is the first Chairman to head the statutory Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) after notification of PFRDA Act in 2014. He joined PFRDA on 7th October 2014.
Prior to joining PFRDA he was a career banker, joining State Bank of India (SBI) as Probationary Officer in 1974. During his illustrious career spanning 40 years in SBI, he served in several important positions including Group Executive of International Banking, Group Executive of Corporate Banking, and Chief Financial Officer and rising to be the Managing Director of State Bank of India.
He has also served on the Board of several organisations such as State Bank of India, National Security Depository Limited (NSDL), Nuclear Power Corporation of India. He is a qualified Chartered Banker (ACIB) from Chartered Institute of Bankers, London.

Ratna Vishwanathan has served MFIN for the past one year as the designated Deputy CEO and Compliance Officer on behalf of the RBI after MFIN was assigned to be a SRO. She brings to MFIN a combination of government and development sector experience. Belonging to the 1987 batch of the Indian Audit and Accounts Service, Ms. Vishwanathan comes with extensive experience across a range of departments of the Government of India including Defense and Prasar Bharti. In the development sector she has served at very senior levels in well-known international NGOs such as Oxfam and VSO. She steered these entities through critical change management processes as they transitioned from international liaison offices to ‘full fledged Indian entities’.
